Things that I am loving at the moment!!

Today I just fancied telling you about some things that I have been loving.

The Darts - I have been loving the darts this year I think that I have watched the most darts I have ever watched this year. I am gutted that this year is Phil "The Power" Taylor's final year as a professional as he has planned to retire in January after the world darts championships have ended. I am also delighted that this year he has won a 16th World Matchplay championship title in Blackpool as that evens things out and I wonder if he is going to be able to retain his champions league of Darts title this month in Cardiff that should definitely be an interesting watch and could that proceed into him winning a 17th world darts championship title in January in his final tournament as a professional who knows? I have also been loving that there have been a few different winners in the tournaments this year as that has brought a bit more variety and has shown off some more of the talent that darts as a sport can offer.

Ross Noble - Recently I have been getting into Ross Noble's stand up (if you could call it that I would call it a mega chat) DVD's and I have purchased 3 of them I have Nobleism, The Headspace Cowboy and Fizzy Logic and please don't ask me what the title of his DVD's mean because I have no idea obviously Nobleism is a play on his last name but the other two I have no idea what so ever. I was first a fan of his Dave show Ross Noble's Freewheeling I found that funny and interesting and it definitely deserved more series than the 2 that it got in my opinion and then I watched his appearance on Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (RHLSTP) on YouTube and I really enjoyed that so that is how it all started.

Twinings St Clements tea - My final favourite is twinings St Clements tea and as the nursery rhyme goes it tastes of oranges and lemons and it is really refreshing and I find not to heavy on the stomach and the best bit is that it has no caffeine in it. I tend to have one cup in the morning when I wake up and one before I go to sleep but one thing that I wouldn't do especially if you are trying it for the first time is to let it go cold and then drink it as it tastes a little bit sour. But once you have got used to it it's fine.

My Current Favourite YouTubers

Hey Bloggers. Hope that you are all well. 

Today I am going to go through my current favourite YouTubers because I watch YouTube a lot and I think have got a little diverse collection of subscriptions so hopefully they will be something for everybody.

1. Fairy Char ASMR

Fairy Char ASMR is ran by a woman called Charlotte and ASMR channels are created for entertainment purposes with an intention to help people relax and fall asleep. This channel has different type of videos to enable to do that from whispering videos, Role Play videos (make up artist, Student at Hogwarts, Doctor, Holistic therapist etc, Tapping videos etc  These videos are very relaxing and I would definitely recommend to listen to with earphones so that you can get full affect.

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and that is when you get the tingly feeling when you are in a relaxed state. 

2. Matt and Tom's Park Bench.

This channel is ran by two friends called Matt Gray and Tom Scott who both have solo channels as well. This channel is filmed on a park bench and they speak about different topics from Travel stories, amazon affiliate links, guest videos, Q&As, Pranks which they have pulled.

They both talk about it in such a casual way and they do go off on tangents and rambles like you would a normal conversation so you know that the videos are not too planned which is good because its comes naturally to them. I first found their videos because they have made a video called "We Love the 90's" where they talk about when they went to a concert in Norway  and described who they seen and how it went.

3. Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast

This channel is ran by comedian Richard Herring and was originally and still is an audio podcast as well via Go Faster Stripe and this podcast is where Richard Herring interviews different comedians and other interesting people about there careers and they usually last between 50 mins to 1hr and 30 mins. Guest include Chris Addison, Sarah Millican, Caitlin Moran, Phill Jupitus, Richard Osman, Matthew Crosby, Josie Long, Isy Suttie Etc 

I first discovered this channel when I was watching another channel by Red Dwarf's Robert Llewellyn called Carpool which is a similar format but whilst Robert Llewellyn is dropping off another celebrity off at where they need to be. but these are 30 minutes long. Carpool was turned into a TV show and Broadcast by the channel Dave and it ran for 1 series.

4. Ashens

This is a channel which is ran by Stuart Ashen and it is mainly based on him reviewing retro goods and tat and is now also known for unboxing different blind boxes like loot crate, Munchpak, Retro Toy boxes (80's and 90's) He is also known for reviewing retro consoles and games and retro technology. I think he best known for his taste testing videos where he tries different foods which fans have sent into his PO Box which meant into was mainly international foods. He also has a collaboration channel with Barry Lewis from "My Virgin Kitchen" called "Barshens" where they do different challenges and different quizzes and make fun out of the rubbish articles in the news and do different collaborations with other YouTubers.

Premier League Darts - Nottingham (Week 2)

Hey Bloggers, Hope you are all well. 

Today is the second week of the Premier League Darts and this week it comes from The Capital FM Arena in Nottingham at it is on Live on Sky Sports at 7pm in the UK.

The fixtures for tonight's premier league action are: 

Adrian Lewis (Jackpot) V Dave Chisnall (Chizzy)
James Wade (The Machine) V Phil Taylor (The Power)
Jelle Klassen (The Cobra) V Gary Anderson (The Flying Scotsman)
Peter Wright (Snakebite) V Michael Van Gerwen (Mighty Mike)
Kim Huybrechts (The Hurricane) V Raymond Van Barneveld (Barney)

How the premier league of darts works is that they play first to seven legs and what you achieve depends on how many points that you get in your match. You get 2 points for a win (so if you win 7-5 that will give you 2 points) You can get 1 point to each player for a draw. The only way you can get a draw is if the match finishes 6-6. Finally you get 0 points for a loss.

I think that the star match tonight will be Peter Wright V Michael Van Gerwen because it is tussle between the world #1 and the world #3 and it will be interesting whether Michael van Gerwen can get a win on the board after drawing against Gary Anderson on opening night in Newcastle or will Peter Wright gain another win after beating Jelle Klassen and keep himself on top form.

Welcome Back!! and Premier League Darts is Back!!

Today I wanted to talk to you about Betways Premier League Darts. Yes it is finally back and it kicked off on 2nd February 2017 at the Metro arena in Newcastle for the opening night. It is the first time since I properly started watching darts that the premier leagues opening night hasn't been in Leeds. 

The Players which are involved in this years campaign are:

Michael Van Gerwen - Mighty Mike (Netherlands)
Gary Anderson - The Flying Scotsman (Scotland)
Peter Wright - Snakebite (Scotland)
Adrian Lewis - Jackpot (England)
Phil Taylor - The Power (England)
James Wade - The Machine (England)
Dave Chisnall - Chizzy (England)
Raymond Van Barneveld - Barney (Netherlands)
Kim Huybrechts - Hurricane (Belgium)
Jelle Klaasen - The Cobra (Netherlands)

The top 4 of the PDC's order of Merit after the end of the World Darts Championship are in on merit so that this year was Michael Van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Adrian Lewis are automatically involved and the PDC and Sky sports have wildcards which are selected by them sky sports selected this year was Phil Taylor and Raymond Van Barneveld and meaning that the PDC's wildcard were James Wade, Dave Chisnall, Kim Huybrechts and Jelle Klassen. 

This tour goes around the UK, Ireland and The Netherlands over 16 weeks February through to May and is on live Every Thursday in the UK on Sky Sports at 7pm.

A little bit about me.

Hey bloggers

I know that I haven't written for a very long time. My apologies for that.

Today I am going to tell you all a little bit about me, particularly what do I do when I am not blogging.

So what do I do when I am not blogging,

1. I work with my auntie and uncle in their business where I am a business development manager for the business coaching business which they run as a business development manager I help by creating letters and other campaigns which are sent to the businesses in aid of trying to gain clients. I help also answering emails and phone calls and I post onto social media networks about events that my uncle is hosting again in aid of obtaining leads and possibly new clients. I mix that in with some general admin.  also whilst I am working in the business I am also completing a level 3 Social media apprenticeship which is covering all aspects of social media and how to use all the different social networks effectively and how to improve the business by creating content for social networks consistently.

2 I am obsessed by comedy inparticular british comedy I have more stand-up dvds than I ever thought and I try to go most stand up gigs which are playing in my local civic theatre especially over the last 2-3 years I have been trying to do this and I have been lucky enough to see Alan Davies,Alan Carr and John Bishop just to name a couple. I have also found whilst I am watching youtube that you can get old episodes of comedy shows which I do regularly binge watch on a evening.

3. I have a youtube channel which I upload to quite infrequently if  I am honest but there I tend to do comedy dvd reviews, favourites videos etc I am also open to your requests so if you have a idea on what videos I should do next please comment on one of my previous videos and I will have a look into it.

Double Blog!!

Heyy Bloggers, well as you know i didnt manage to blog about yesterday's adventures as i was too tired and it was quite late when i thought about it so sorry bloggers about that. 

So lets start with yesterday....We in the morning after breakfast went down to the local shops and and searched for some potential souvenirs to take back to england with us. and yesterday two of my friends found a chinese market crammed with every kind of souvenir you could think so we all went in there and they were right. There were clothes, magnets shoes, glasswear,bags, purses and everything else that you could think of. Luckily we planned to go again during the end of the week because there is a lot of things that i could buy that we didnt have time for on our short visit and then for the rest of the daytime we just stayed around the hotel. After tea we watched the entertainment and it was a reptile show which wasnt any good and lasted only about 10 minutes and then later on we watched some circus performers and in my opinion was the worst circus i have ever seen and even the kids weren't that impressed.

Today all of us got up early and went to a different hotel linked to ours to go to the waterpark in that hotel and it was much more cooler (temperature wise) there which was more pleasurable for me considering  my sunburn and the water wasnt that deep so I managed to go for a paddle which was definitely refreshing. The waterpark in it's interity wasn't that big at all but it was nice to relax without the big danger of getting sunburn :) later on the entertainment it is bingo which is a very british thing which i am looking forward to immensely! and then afterwards there is a competition called ideal couple which i think is the hotels version of take me out a tv show that we have in the UK and it looks quite fun and the staff in the hotel said that was going to be fun.

Getting our bearings!!

Hey Bloggers, 
I am back as promised to tell you what we did today. so here we go!!

Well today was our first official full day in lanzarote so I woke up and got myself ready and then I went down to the restaurant to meet my friends for breakfast and i have got to admit it was a little bit too early for my liking but never mind. and when we got there i had bacon, sausage and a churro and then i had two pancakes with brown sugar and chocolate syrup on top and it was quite nice. I only say that because most of us didnt really rate the sausages too highly.

after breakfast we decided to go and have a walk around and we found a row of convenience shops where you could buy groceries, souvenirs etc and then we walked back and went into the pool. I only sat on the steps as I am not keen on swimming or water in general (i love drinking water though) but it was nice none the less and before we knew it it was lunchtime so we went and eat again but me and my friend found some braised steak  and it was absolutely gorgeous and because it was i got a little carried away and thought my stomach was bigger than my eyes and it turned evidently that it was not. 

Then we all decided to go back to our apartment to chill out before we had to come down for tea and then I realised that I had sunburn on my back and shoulders and a little bit on my arms (NO!!) but I had been putting on SPF 30 suncream on all day. that is how hot it has been. after I had had a shower and applied after sun all over my body that i could reach I had a siesta for a couple of hours and then i had tea (we went all inclusive) tonight the entertainment was a duo of spanish singers/muscians and they sounded really quite good and they sang both english and spanish songs unfortunately some of the english songs were quite dated in my opinion but they still played them really well.

Flying To lanzarote!!

Hey bloggers, 
well today i did a very grown up thing I have just flown out on my first abroad holiday without my parents!! yes it was daunting and it would have been a similar experience for my parents also but I am now in as the title suggests LANZAROTE!! and what i have decided to do on here in a bid to help me start blogging again is that hopefully (no promises) every night i will blog about what we did on that day and today is no exception so here we go!!

Well today I was picked up by my friends at 10 am and then we went to pick up another set of friends and then we were off to Leeds/Bradford airport we arrived a little bit too early but check in was open so we went in anyway and checked in and that and security went all smoothly. and then came the waiting game because we arrived at the airport a little bit too early that meant we had to wait what seemed like an eternity (and to be fair it practically was) for our flight to get called to see what gate we were at and luckily it was not that far away. but unfortunately we had to climb the stairs to board the plane which meant going outside and like typical england it was really belting it down with rain. so that made the steel steps all wet (no I didn't fall) so that was not so great. when i finally took my seat i had a window seat (YES!)  because i love looking out of the window on planes it just looks spectacular and i knew i was in there for the long haul so i packed two books in my hand luggage they were 
1. Michael Mcintyre´s life and laughing 
2. Ant & Dec's Ooh! what a lovely pair 
The flight was around 4 and a half hours long and it was a little bit bumpy in places especially on take off but the captain warned us about that pre takeoff because of the bad weather we had back in england. 
I completely wore the wrong travelling clothes because i wore a jumper like top and some full length leggings and when we landed it was like a sauna it was 27 degrees at 7:30pm (yeah i know right!) we didnt really have any other issues really just that the cases took longer than planned and the transfer to the hotel took a little longer than planned but apart from that everything is great! 

a more informative one for you tomorrow, I am going to my room to continue reading my books :D

Comedy DVD Reviews :D

Heyy Bloggers,. Well today blogger's I am going to be reviewing 2 DVD's from my stand up comedy collection and then rating them out of 5. These reviews are completely my own point of view and I haven't been asked or paid by anybody to review these DVD's I am just doing this because I want to.

The First DVD that I am going to review is Jon Richardson - Funny Magnet 
The cover of this DVD looks like this.... 

I find this DVD quite a change from as the tone of this DVD is quite calming compared to a few other DVD's because Jon Richardson isn't hyperactive or really angry during some of there routines he is just known as being really grumpy and moans about the slightest niggle that plays on his mind and then he manages to overthink them and then take it out into the world and becomes even more irate when he spots it in the outside world. But the best thing about his annoyances they are at things that all of us become annoyed at from time to time i.e washing up many times on television and in this show he definitely states that he likes everything just so and everything has it's place. I find this a calming DVD because it is all done at a nice settled tempo and it is quite nice that he doesn't go and have a angry tantrum about his irritations and I find that to be easy watching. the certificate rating of the DVD is 15 which I do agree with as there is strong language used within this DVD and there is a couple of sexual references also used

The extras on the DVD is a live at the Apollo performance that does feature some of the material that is featured on the DVD

overall I enjoyed the DVD but the extras could use a bit work so I am going to give this DVD

The other DVD I am going to be reviewing today is going to be Joe Pasquale - The everything I have ever done & the first of many goodbye tours DVD

 

This DVD is a little bit unconventional because this DVD is a hybrid because it mixes comedy and magic!! of course its Joe Pasquale This DVD like all of Pasquale's work are old school family friendly Entertainment and this DVD I find very joyful to watch and the best bit about this DVD that anybody from the ages of 8-80 will be able to watch this and will be able to laugh at something within the main feature of the DVD The only problem I have with this DVD is that this DVD has a certificate 12 rating and if you have watched this DVD you will realise that there is 1 thing in the whole 90 minutes of the feature that would be acceptable for that rating I would have personally rated this DVD with a PG rating (Parental Guidance) 

The extra's of this DVD is a video diary of Joe on tour and what get's up to whilst travelling from venue to venue on the tour and this extra last's approximately 30 minutes which i find is long enough because any longer on that extra it might have became too long. The other Extra on this DVD is the show with an audio commentary from Joe himself don't see the need for audio commentary on DVD's especially if they are talking over there own show all the way through. 

I really like the main feature of this DVD a lot and I will give this 5/5 however the extras of this DVD are a tiny bit dissopointing so I am going to give them 4/5

DVD REVIEW!! - Bradley Walsh Live!

the DVD that I am going to be reviewing for you today is Bradley Walsh live this DVD was released Christmas 2004  and nowadays Bradley Walsh is more known for presenting the primetime quiz show the chase in which I reckon he is also very funny whilst presenting that especially when he has his "mini breakdowns" as I like to call them  when he thinks something is really funny during the show and he cant speak due to uncontrollable laughing this usually happens when the answer is either is slightly inappropriate or immature.
In this DVD however if you are used to him on the chase he is slightly more adult in this DVD as the language is quite strong as the DVD is a certificate 15 but he talks about everyday matters that people can relate to from family life to his childhood to holidays and he does it in this slightly sarcastic and moaning and quite matter of fact manner. He is also quite descriptive in his routines and it all relates to the point that he is making which I find quite good instead of going on a tangent most of the time. However one point of the DVD he does go on a tangent is where he is speaking about holidays and instead of saying brochures he says pamphlets and I find that very funny and her manages to inn cooperate this into the routine very seamlessly. The audience due interrupt him a couple of times during his set but he adlibs with the audience and he makes it work really well. the DVD is an 1 hour and 9 minutes long and in summary I thought it was very good and it made my laugh nearly every joke and I was very pleasantly surpriced

The Eurovision song contest 2014

well last night was the return of the Eurovision song contest 2014 and as most of Europe may know the winner was conchita wurst from Austria with the song "fly like a phoenix". so well done Austria and well done to everyone for competing in either the semi final and the grand final and it was yet again a fantastic show. My countries representative was Molly Smitten-Downes and she had a song called children of the universe which came in 17th place out of 26 which considering our recent form in the contest is an OK placing. so well done Molly! our commentators for the semi final was bbc radio 1's Scott mills and the I'm a celebrity get me out of here now presenter Laura Whitmore and for the grand final our commentator was Graham Norton in which made a few jokes of the actual Danish hosts of the contest but they managed to get him back at surprise him when they said thank you to all of the commentators and  brought the television camera into his booth and sprayed confetti all over his booth and him.

In this years Eurovision this year was pretty much dominated by ballads or slower paced songs which kind of disappointed me as I quite like the faster songs and the novelty acts that to me is only unique to Eurovision and this year in my opinion I found that most of the acts took it too seriously  Also this year on the bbc red button service we had the return of the sing along feature which I quite enjoy as when any of the songs come on the lyrics come onto the screen and you can sing along in either the original language the song is in our in English.

 

unfortunately the country in last place this year was France with a song called "moustache" which gained a grand total of 2 points which I though was quite unfair because to be honest I quite liked the song and I found it quite funny

another one of my favourites was Iceland's entry from Pollaponk  unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the song but it was quite a jazzy number and was about stopping prejudice and they were wearing block colours on stage and even off stage in there other clothing i.e onesies and I found that quite refreshing. Another surprise of the contest well to me anyway was that Ireland failed to qualify for the grand final in which they have only failed to qualify for four years since they started entering the contest.

 

Hosting the actual show from Copenhagen in Denmark was two male presenters and one female presenter now I quite liked the male presenters I thought they bounced well off of each other but however the female presenter was quite wooden  but she did do a good job nonetheless.

Heyy bloggers I apologise for not blogging in  a extremely long time but I have been extremely busy with other preoccupying things but now I am back and what I have decided to do is once a week now on this blog I am going to review a DVD. for the foreseeable future these DVD's are going to be stand up comedy DVD's as I bought 7 new stand up DVD's recently as that is my favourite type of DVD

TRADITONALLY IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IN IRELAND NEW YEARS EVE TENDS TO BE A BIG CELEBRATION WHERE EVERYBODY EITHER HOLDS PARTIES OR GOES TO EACH OTHERS PARTIES AND CELEBRATES THE ARRIVAL OF THE NEW YEAR WITH THERE FRIENDS AND FAMILY. Goodbye 2013 Hello 2014!!!

Heyy Bloggers I apologise for not blogging for a while as I have been busy with Christmas festivities in which I very much enjoyed myself and I hope that all of you did as well But now as the new year is edging closer I would like to say Goodbye to 2013 and say a massive hello to 2014 and get the new year off to a good start. Usually bloggers I make a new years resolution to stop biting my nails but I am currently thinking to not make that resolution this year because by teatime on new years day that resolution has already been broken. However in the latter stages of 2013 I think I had a bit of a breakthrough because I managed to not bit my nails for 3 weeks :O

I think I have had a fairly good 2013 and even though it has had it's ups and downs like every year has I feel like mine has been pretty good I also hope that you have all had a fantastic Christmas and I hope you all have enjoyed being able to eat,drink and being merry and I also would like to wish a very happy 2014. Finally I would like to thank all of you for your support during 2013 and I hope that your support will continue through to 2014

Rimmel's wake me up foundation

Heyy bloggers sorry I haven't blogged in a while but I have been so busy with uni and Christmas and things like that that unfortunately blogging has slightly gone the back burner. However now I have finished for Christmas I thought I better start blogging again.

 So as you may of gathered by the title today's blog is going to be about Rimmel's wake me up foundation which I purchased yesterday with my friend Danielle for the bargain price of £4.98p which is a massive drop in price as it is usually between the £8-£12 mark depending on which shop./store you purchase it from the store which i purchased it from was called savers which I assume is just a British store but if not please comment and let me know otherwise and in the savers store in my town they have a offer on all Rimmel London products which is all Rimmel products for under £5. I decided to purchase the wake me up foundation because I have heard lots of good things about this foundation and about its anti-fatigue effect I can tell you now that the effect actually works because the foundation has A slight shimmer therefore letting light reflect on your face and making you seem more awake. I think that it is a medium coverage foundation but it also has buildable coverage which means that you can build it up to a full coverage foundation if you would like to. the two best positives about this foundation is that when you wear it it doesn't feel like you have any foundation on however heavy the coverage is and even though this isn't a particular element which you look for in a foundation but the smell of this foundation is incredible I would describe it between mint with a slight hint of apple (red apple not green). The packaging of the wake me up foundation is also really classy as the foundation comes in a glass bottle which is quite rare with drugstore/high street foundation as only the higher end of the drugstore products seem to have glass bottles and it may look like it will only be the bottle with the foundation inside but it does come with a pump dispenser so that makes it easier to apply to your face with the correct amount of foundation that you need.
I would recommend this product to anybody I wish that I purchased this sooner it is the best foundation I have ever tried.

How Video games Have Changed The World

Heyy Bloggers well I have just finished watching A programme on channel 4 which was called "How Videogames changed the world" and I very much enjoyed it because I am in love with video games and video games and gaming has been in my life from year dot because like me my dad and my mum a little bit are also enjoy gaming. The first ever games console I came across was the Sega Mega Drive - which is not to be confused with the Sega Saturn because the mega drive had game cartridges and the saturn played CD-ROM games and when i saw my dad play on it i thought it was mystical how my mum and dad used to play the original sonic the hedgehog, PGA tour golf I and II and Ram rage and being able to see their reactions when they complete a stage in the game and also the reactions when they lost a life or the game. Now naturally as I have become a game lover especially platform and button bash games like tekken and anything sonic the hedgehog however I have also played on most platforms apart from PC because for some strange reason I haven't really been a fan of PC games.
I have played on everything from Playstation to Dreamcast to Xbox 360 (which is my current console) 
I would recommend that any gamer should watch "how videogames changed the world" because it goes through all of the significent games which have led onto some of the biggest sellers like grand theft auto,tekken,mortal kombat etc and tells you about how gaming has progressed since 1972 when "pong" was released until now
